The Netherlands, December 14, 2021 – CarNext, one of Europe’s leading online B2C and B2B used car marketplaces, today announces that Max Verstappen, Formula One World Champion, is selling his Honda Civic Type R ‘work’ car via CarNext.com after this Formula One season. The car will go on sale on 23 December for €33,333 and all proceeds will go to CarNext’s selected charity, Wings for Life from RedBull.
Max has used the customised vehicle as his personal vehicle all season to get to F1 tracks all around the world.
As with every vehicle on the CarNext platform, Max’s car has been checked and fully reconditioned before sale. The car will be on the CarNext website from 14 December. The sale will be first-come-first-served and CarNext will deliver the car to the lucky customer’s home.
Following the sale, CarNext will donate all proceeds to Wings for Life, a non-profit foundation established by the two-time motocross world champion Heinz Kinigadner and the Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz in 2004 which aims to find a cure for spinal cord injuries and paraplegia.
Asked about the sale, Max Verstappen said: “I’m very pleased that I can sell my car for such a good cause as Wings for Life. And to make sure the sale is in good hands, I’m doing it together with my partner CarNext. For a final goodbye to the car, I took it for one last drive, as you can see in the campaign. I hope the new owner will enjoy the car as much as I did.”
