Amsterdam – August 26 2019: CarNext.com, a pan-European digital marketplace for high-quality used cars, has appointed Maarten van Neerven as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1 September 2019.
Maarten joins CarNext.com from Bugaboo, where he was CFO. At Bugaboo, Maarten further developed the company’s Finance function, including a more data-driven decision-making culture. Prior to this, Maarten spent eight years at Phillips, first with its Domestic Appliances group, before becoming CFO of Philips Research.

Maarten van Neerven (1978) is a Dutch national with 15+ years international experience in financial management and transformations. Maarten joined Bugaboo in 2017 as CFO to lead its due diligence process, resulting in Bugaboo being acquired by a leading global private investment firm. As CFO he further strengthened its Finance function, supporting a more data-driven decision-making culture.
Prior to Bugaboo, he worked for Phillips, first with its Domestic Appliances group, before becoming CFO of Philips Research. Maarten earned a Master’s degree in business economics and a post-graduate degree as a certified Controller from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
